Several months ago I walked into Laykin's school to check her in... we
were late. First and ONLY time. Not bad, right?! Well, I guess everything
happens for a reason. Got her all checked in, about to head out and
a quite and a little bit reluctant...Garnet walks up to me. She starts talking
photography and asks if I would ever consider some sort of
"mentoring/teaching day". I had never thought of it...
Never have I thought, Hmmmm I could teach someone some photography tips.
SO, I said SURE.. I was a little nervous,
what if I didn't make the day "worth it" for her... anyway, spring came
and went... We emailed a little thoughout the end of the school year.
Then June came. I was getting excited... and then the day was here.
I was SUPER excited to meet with her, hear her questions, go out for a shoot,
come back to some fresh fruit and talk shop! We had so much fun!
I gave her the option of me picking the "subject" or her if she wanted.
So her nephews drove from Westplains to meet up with us. They were SUCH
troopers. It was NASTY hot and the knats were OH MY GOSH ew....
Anyway, they are pros @ this modeling thing.
Here are a few of my takes from the session.

Here's Garnet in action :)
