{ goodbye kindergarten }

WOW. that is all i have to say.
WOW when did she get to be 6?
WOW where did this first school year go?
WOW! WOW! WOW!

I CAN NOT BELIEVE that I now have a FIRST GRADER!!!

She has done so well. I am so proud of my girl. She's learned
SO much, made SO many friends. Life lessions have been taught.
She's had THE BEST teacher in the WORLD.

I took Laykin lunch today... big day, deserves lotsa attention.
She decided that she wanted to go ahead and go home at that point.
She was going to stay all day, but lots of other kids were leaving
@ lunch so she wanted to also. So, we meet up Mrs. K to tell our
goodbyes and head out the big kindergarten doors for the last time.
I am soooo sappy. Oh my gosh...
So anyway, we get in the parking lot and Laykin stops and looks back
at the school that will forever hold a special place... her first
school.... she stands there for a second looking around and then
drops her head and continues to walk to the car. As she's getting in
the car.... she says in a soft voice " it's so sad"....
Oh she's got it... my sappyness. The tears start and we pull away.

if only she stays this drawn to school...

Here she is this morning as we walk out the door.
She had her outfit picked out, hair style and all. She had it
planned all week.
