i was just going through this session from yesterday and had to share these 2 images.
i just love them. the lighting, the grain, the kinda "dark" feeling that they give.

Random Wednesday

1) let's talk about the weather!! oh my gosh, i LOVE this day! i love the dampness
of the morning, the sun and 55 degree temperature @ 7:30 this morning. I just want
to be home with the windows open, radio cranked, tank and shorts on cleaning my
house!

2) next week i am doing some family/kids mini sessions outside in a field with that
beautiful gold color that the winter sun + tall grass gives. the sessions are about 30
minutes long and are 70.00. the session comes with 1: 8x10 and 2: 5x7's
bring on the sunny mild days... i can not wait until spring (can you tell?)

5) 2010 weddings are off the hook! i am so excited to be on my way to my 12-15 weddings
for this year. i think that that is a good #. not to many to where i am overwhelmed, still to
have time for some spring/summer/fall sessions. i am although not booking a lot of weekend
sessions. i can do some sundays, but not really any saturdays do to weddings this spring.
if you are thinking spring family photos, please get with me asap. don't wait until i am booked
solid. i always try to work everyone in but it really gets kinda crazy sometimes in doing so.

6) warning.... a lil nerd talk:
i am looking into a new lens. i have several on my list, but really trying to decide which one
i will get the most and best use out of for now. i need practicle more that fun right now :)
i just can't do the 1500.00 on that i want soooo badly at this time. i am going to have to
settle and make it happen. i am ok with that. i also am having some minor camera probs :(
and am going to have to send mine into canon which takes up to 3 weeks and their minimum
charge is 350.00 OUCH. so i am looking into a new camera as well :(
i will let you "nerd friends" know what kinda new equip.

8) i love house beautiful magazine. it is the greatest and has so many great ideas.
what is your favorite house/decorating mag? i really loved cottage living but they canceled
that one.

Random Wednesday . 2010 Goals

On this RW post, I will be combining it with my way over do goodbye 2009, hello 2010! :)

1) 2009 was amazing! i could not be more stoked to get into 2010 and see what will happen.
thank you to every single person that has supported me and/or my business. 2009 was an
incredible year for me, i really feel like i "found" myself and have started to make art
that i am proud of.

2) 2010 so far has really rocked! i can't believe it is already half way through january.
weddings are off the hook and i am so so excited about that. i love weddings and look
forward to being able to do more now and to focus on them a little more.

3) a few of my 2010 goals:
- more weddings. i want to book at least 12-15 for this year.
- book a desination wedding that requires the use of my passport
- be published in a wedding mag or blog
- get a set logo that i love, that speaks me
- i really want to get some new equipment, lenses, camera, computer... al of it! (big wish)
- enjoy my first spring @ home since laykin was a baby
- get organized! big one. in life in general
- i want to add some large, gigantic, mango huge canvases to the studio
- take laykin to disney world and to the beach
- attend another photog workshop (or 2, 3, 4...)
- go to the west coast
- concerts! holla~
- a getaway, just me and kevin
- take laykin lunch on a regular basis
- do lots of things to our house
- have a small garden
there are sooo many more, but that is just a few. now that i have them on my blog, i can
keep up with my list ;)

4) i am telling you, this kid is the next big designer of her time. we are thinking that it's
about time to get her a sewing machine and set up a craft area for her.

6) i am so done with snow and so ready for spring!!!

not gonna lie, i have never taken the photos off my phone and put them on my computer...
well, i did that lastnight!!
and love this new app (the only one i have paid $ for ha)
so here are a few over the past.... almost year that were on my phone and i will probably
be adding this to RW, iphone pics!



8) i get to go to lunch today with my good friend Hayley!

speaking of lunch, it is about that time so i am gonna get out of here....
